Who We Are

We are a team of passionate fintech veterans, software developers, and crypto enthusiasts who want to make every crypto user life easier. Since we know we can't fix the whole world, at least not yet, we decided to focus on cryptocurrency taxes. That's why we started Cryptiony with a goal to make sure that honest crypto folks don't need to spend hours calculating their crypto taxes. Before coming together, we've worked for various companies in the traditional finance sector, too big to fail banks, FX brokers, fintech companies and startups, and crypto organizations alike.


What We Are Building

At Cryptiony we are building a tool that enables everybody to calculate how much crypto tax is required to be paid and keep track of current crypto tax liabilities. Through multiple integrations, we want to make the process as smooth, easy and quick as possible. We also want everybody to forget about headaches and constant doubts caused by possible mistakes and errors in their own calculations. We let computers do what they do best, gather data, crunch the numbers and provide users with useful information. In the future we want to become so much more, making other aspects of crypto life easier and less time-consuming.


Why we do it

We believe it's safe to say at this point that crypto is here to stay, whether anybody like it or not. The best proof of that is countries acknowledging crypto through taxation. As cryptocurrency users, we know from experience that crypto tax calculation can be time-consuming, difficult and is prone to mistakes. One could have a tax professional do it, but that's costly and a good crypto tax professional is hard to come by. By means of automation we want to fix all those problems. A crypto tax calculation platform can do the work quickly, correctly and in a cost-effective manner. It doesn't matter if you're a HODL-er or an active trader, we want to become a trusted partner that helps out with tax calculation, is accessible to everybody and is easy to use at affordable pricing.

The Role

The position will report directly to CTO, will be part of the core product team and will be responsible for development of Cryptiony platform.


Responsibilities

Design and implement new features of Cryptiony
Work closely with CTO and rest of core product development team to create a user-friendly space for crypto tax calculation
Write high-quality, tested code
Review code of other development team members
Mentoring less experienced colleagues


Qualifications

2+ years of experience with Java stack
Working knowledge of the following tools: Spring, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Docker
Desire to learn new technologies
Experience with AWS, Kafka, Zookeeper, OpenAPI will be a plus
