To help our clients in using technology to address their business problems, we are exploring new opportunities in Ruby on Rails projects. We are helping to assemble product teams that will eventually consist of 2BE, 2Android, 2 iOS, PM, and Designers. These teams are going to be at the mid-senior lvl.
However, this project is a bit of an exception, and not utilising our primary stack choice - as a company, we are getting big into Elixir technology. So our ideal candidate would be open to using Elixir in the future. You can be sure that our 30-member Backend Team will be there to assist you as you learn more about Elixir's capabilities, and your Leader will support you to look into various engagement options.
We’ll be more than happy if you:
Have professional experience with Ruby on Rails
Have experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Have experience with networking and running distributed software in a cloud environment
Are a team player and you aren’t scared of Pair Programming
Have the ability to think about impacting on client’s sales metrics
If you have...
Experience with designing GraphQL APIs
Experience with infrastructure such as ElasticSearch (especially Ruby plugin SearchKick), AWS, Docker or Terraform
Experience with designing for performance in systems at scale and under heavy load
